The Kannu Teri Bengaluru campaign is an initiative to expand the Civil Defence and use citizen power to create safe neighborhoods by appointing Area Suraksha Mitras.
“ I feel that the Civil Defence training is especially important for women, home makers or professionals, because they need to be prepared to tackle any calamity immediately or even if not in dire emergency then as a precautionary measure.I feel that just like it is compulsory to be inoculated against various diseases one must compulsorily train with the Civil Defence.”
