Seshadripuram : Bound by Kumara Park, High Grounds and Vasanth Nagar, this central area of Bangalore was named after Dewan Seshadri Iyer and added to the city in the year 1892 in the North-West direction. Sir Kumarapuram Seshadri Iyer, the longest serving Dewan of Mysore is often regarded as the architect of modern Bangalore.

High Grounds: Bound by Seshadripuram and Kumara Park, High Grounds is in the central administrative area of Bangalore. The Jawahar Lal Nehru Planetarium, founded in the year 1989 with the motive to instill an awareness of astronomy amongst students as well as the common public, is situated here. The Bangalore Golf Club, established in 1876 and the second oldest in India is on Sankey Road, a major road that connects High Grounds to Sadashivanagar.
