About Siddapura & Adugodi Siddapura is located near Lalbagh in Bangalore. Siddapura is known for its plant nurseries and the area got its name from the groups of Jangama siddis (saints) who had been living here 300 years ago. The variety of plants available here is Edenesque. Tens of hundreds of flowering, fruit-bearing, indoor, and ornamental plants are a plant lover's nirvana. The quality of both saplings and seeds is of the highest order. Business is good, except during summer. Both wholesale and retail sales go on here, and the clientele comprises both amateurs and professionals. Saplings and seeds are exported to all parts of the country. Similarly, they are also imported into the City. Apart from sales, several people come for horticultural advice, which is generously dispensed. For example, nursery owners advise serious laying of gardens during the monsoon. Some of the leading nurseries are Munivekatappa and Sons, Venkatesh Nursery, Srinivas Nursery, Prakash Nursery, Balaji Nursery, Deepak, N. Ramu and Brothers, Pillaiah and Sons, and Krishnendra, who is into biotech and tissue culture. There is a lake called Siddapura Lake, which covers nearly 30 acres. The Someshwara Temple is another attraction. This green oasis, reputedly the coldest place in the City, thanks to all the greenery that is constantly watered and nurtured with great love by those who have been in the trade for generations. Adugodi situated in the central part of Bangalore has well connected roads. This place is adjacent to city’s most happening place Kormangala. Development of commercial spaces in the surrounding of Adugodi has a complete impact on this place. It is commercial hub cum residential area. The famous Lal bagh garden is just a few kilometer away from this place. Adugodi area packed with high energy of active life, you won’t feel the passing of time. This place houses reputed dairy industry Karnataka Co-Operative Milk Producers Federation Limited. The main Roads connecting Audogdi is Hosur Road and other roads are 80 feet Periphereal road, Bannerghatta road, Marigowad Road. The Royal Enfield Motors Depot is situated in this part of region, close to the Marigowad Road. Chowdeshwari Temple in close vicinity of this place is a famous religious place amongst the hindu residents of this locality. Sankalpa, Ganga Hospital, Bangalore Heart Hospital and Lal Bagh Hospital are the hospital providing medical facilities to the resident of this locality.Vaibhava, Rasdi, Pizza Corner are the well-know restaurant situated here. Pramod Goni is a Divisional Warden for Division 37. Pramod is an active in building grassroots leadership with over 20 years of experience in the filed of community mobilization, liaison with government, training and community participation. He has been involved in various social change efforts contributing to organizations like UNICEF, Asian Development Bank, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development & Finace Corporation, State Training Institute etc. He is also President of the Lions Club of Bangalore Nisarga.
